Wesdome Ratification Vote Day

The purpose of the Ratification Vote is to determine if eligible Members authorize and direct the duly elected Chief & Council of our Nation to sign all documents and perform other duties necessary to execute and implement the Community Consultation and Benefits Agreement for the Eagle River Gold Mining Complex Project between Michipicoten First Nation and Wesdome Gold Mines Ltd.

The ratification vote will take place on the 28th day of February 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Band Hall, 107 Hiawatha Drive, Michipicoten First Nation. Mail-in ballots will be provided to voters of Michipicoten First Nation for whom a mailing address is provided to the Ratification Officer by the First Nation and to any other voter requesting one. Electronic voting will be allowed and available until 2:00 p.m. EST/EDT on February 28th, 2026.
