JAMES ST. GERMAIN
Jim was born in the mid 1960’s at the Lady Dunn Hospital in Michipicoten Township and is a direct descendent of the William Souliere family. He called Hawk Junction home until his family moved to Sault Ste Marie when he was 7 years old.
Jim is a well-seasoned Human Resources Professional with over 30 years working in his field of expertise. He has been a member of the Human Resources Professional Association of Ontario since 1997 and holds certifications as CHRP and CHRL. During his tenor with the HRPA, he has been heavily involved with his local chapter as Membership Chair, Treasurer and President. He has also participated at the provincial level as Annual Conference Keynote Chair and as member of the Examinations Committee.
Since 2016 Jim has worked with the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation near London Ontario. Chippewas of the Thames is an Anishinaabe community with approximately 800 members living on reserve and 1400 members living off reserve. His current role is Director of Human Resources serving 170 employees. Being very well versed in the First Nations Administration and he embraces the opportunity to work in First Nation Governance and serve his home First Nation, Michipicoten First Nation.
