The draft Annual Work Schedules for the Algoma, Missinaibi, and White River forests have been made available to MFN to review and identify values that could be impacted by forestry operations. MFN members are invited to review the scheduled operations to help identify potentially impacted values.
Annual Work Schedules identify where forestry operations are scheduled to occur in the next year (April 1, 2023 – March 31, 2024). Forestry operations include activities such as:
- Harvesting (logging)
- Road Construction
- Tree Planting
- Aerial Herbicide Spraying
- Prescribed Burns
Below are the draft 2023/24 Annual Work Schedule overview maps for forestry operations on the Algoma, Missinaibi and White River forests. More detailed maps can be provided upon request. Please contact Helen Turner, MFN Forestry Technician at h.turner@michipicoten.com for more information.
An engagement session will be held on January 19, 2023 in-person at 3 Maple St. Wawa (5:30-8:00pm) and virtually via Zoom (6:00-8:00pm) where representatives from each forest will provide a brief presentation. Come join and learn about forestry operations occurring in our area and help identify any values that may be impacted.
